Unforgotten Dreams: Remembering New Year’s Poetry Recordings

New Year’s should be a holiday to think of your “Unforgotten Dreams,” that seem to be hidden somewhere in our attics or a closet, let’s say the compartment of our souls.  Now should be a time to pursue those wishes.  A year ago I recorded four of my New Year’s poems, which are called “The Break of Midnight,” “Happy New Year,” “New Year’s Resolution,” and “Someday in the Future.” All four poems with recordings can be found under the “Poems/New Year’s” tab.

All Holy and Festive: Remembering Christmas Poetry Recordings

My collection of Christmas poems, recorded or not, are either “All Holy and Festive.”  Yet the ones I chose to record on this blog, symbolize both the birth of Jesus, which Christians believe to celebrate together and the tale of Santa, which children believe. These poems are called “The American Holiday Feast,” “A Christmas Message,” “The Christmas Plea,” “The Christmas Stocking,” ‘The Christmas Village,” ‘My Christmas Task,” and “Our Gingerbread House.” All these poems with recordings can be found under the “Poems/Christmas & Winter,” tab, in exception “A Christmas Message,” which can be found under the “Poems/ Published Poems” tab.

Inspired by All Saints: Remembering Reflection Poetry Recordings

To me All Saints lifts my spirits when Halloween night has finally “crept” away. The world is light and filled with the glory of Heaven. A year ago I recorded four poems, which were inspired by this Christian feast day. These poems are called “Take on God’s Dream,” “Another Day,” “Clear,” and “On the Bright Side.” My poems of “reflection” along with recordings can be found under the “Poems/Reflection” tab.

What Life Teaches Us: A Look Back at Inspirational Poetry Recordings

Over the course of the last two years, I have recorded nine of my inspirational poems. These poems have made me realize not just for me, but hope for other people that you can surpass your potential and find the courage to do so. These nine poems are called “An Alphabet Poem of Advice,” “Invisible Rope,” “Motto: Live Your Passion,” Finding that Peace,”  The Master of Everything,” “A Path of Persistence,” “Dan’s Torch,” “Good Sportsmanship,” and “The Wind of Time.”  Just look for the poems and my recordings under the “Poems/Inspirational” tab.

Praying For America: Remembering September Patriotism Poetry Recordings

If we look back over twenty years ago, it’s amazing how our nation has changed, more divided than ever, politically, and socially.  The only way to resolve this is to pray for our nation, that we can be one united against hatred.  A year ago I recorded three of my poems about September patriotism called “Labor Day,” “Life’s Destined Moments” and “Where the Lights Shine Forever,” All three of these poems with recordings can be found under the “Poems/Patriotic” tab.

Space Through a Telescope: Remembering Astronomy Poetry Recordings

Many of the pictures on this blog, some under my posts and the astronomy poetry category are photos that I downloaded from NASA’s image library, which is why I entitled this post “Space Through a Telescope.” A year ago I recorded five of my poems with an astronomy theme called “Asteroid,” “A Great Celestial Awakening,” “Mars,” “Moon,” and “The World Now Knows.” Just look for the poems with recordings under the “Poems/Astronomy” tab.

The Sunshine Season: Remembering Summertime Poetry Recordings

Somehow whenever we think of summer, the sun never seems to set until well into the evening leaving time for outside activities.  The sun may be good for mental health, but climate wise it is the curse of global warming. Last year I recorded three of my favorite poems written about summer called “Fresh Air,” “Sail Across the Earth’s Oceans,” and “The Seaside Postcard.” All three poems with recordings can be found under the “Poems/Summertime” tab.

Defeating a Blank Page: Remembering Writer’s Block Poetry Recordings

Many if not all writers suffer from writer’s block and this has happened to me now and then.  But what lifts my creative spirit is when I read the poems I wrote about this unfortunate issue, I know I will be inspired again.  A year ago I recorded three poems about writer’s block called “Hocus Pocus,” “The Jack of All Trades,” and “Like a Bird.”  Just look for the poems with my audio under the “Poems/Writing” tab.
