The Burning Pumpkin

October is now here, allowing for cooler weather and Halloween costumes.  But for poets like me, the colors of autumn are inspirational.  It took me a while to write this poem.  It may be only a couple of stanzas, but this format, also known as the curtal sonnet made it a challenge to create a fall-like scenery.  May the words of this poem relax you and keep you warm while you sit by the fire, as it cracks and crinkles, with a short chilling story before you.  Just look for it under the “Poems/Halloween & Fall” tab.
