Last New Year’s Eve there was no snow
This year mother nature had raged
My friends and I couldn’t dine out
Instead we sat by the fire
Through the night the storm continued
Smacking the window with a blow
Never slowing down for a view
Those stars in the sky up higher
But we couldn’t see pass that haze
That was true of our future lives
We took this chance to pray about
Thankful for this world admired
While in this mountain bungalow
Memories not to live without
