The dragonfly reigned the summer

Guarded flowers like a fortress

Shielded itself from the thunder

Welcomed others with openness

But one day her eggs washed away

The dragonfly buzzed in anger

She couldn’t blame the one blue jay

Just nature’s dark spell of danger
