A great celestial awakening
The sun, a ball of orange fire
How the crescent moon took over
As the sun looked over its’ shoulder
That left the nation inspired
Then the world around us cooled
But we couldn’t help to be fooled
While shadows crept their way in

But the time had gone by fast
So we savored the vision to last
As the temporary night had ceased
And humans felt a moment of peace
In a universe, endless and vast
