Dreadful news no one wants to hear
An eye on the radar had formed
Mother nature had interfered
Then arrived an unwelcome storm
Winds blew and heavy rains showered
Forecasters said, “it’s not the norm”
No one could believe its’ power
Then arrived an unwelcome storm
So the rescuers tried their best
As the rivers of fear had swarmed
There was no ending to the mess
Then arrived an unwelcome storm
Thousands of people lost their homes
Shelters were there to keep those warm
Living souls with nowhere to roam
Then arrived an unwelcome storm
While we all fight with each other
Now is the right time to conform
A chance to help one another
Then arrived an unwelcome storm
But the Lord’s love will guarantee
The state of Texas will transform
Strengthen those now homeless in need
Then will leave an unwelcome storm
