Someday when the earth is ready
We will establish roots on Mars
Preparations have been going on
And technology has raised the bar
Our goal is to explore the landscape
With hopes to reveal all Mar’s secrets
We have practiced with several rovers
And found answers hidden beneath it
In the next decade reality awaits
When the trajectory gravitates near
Advised with certain challenges to take
When losing lives is what earth fears
Yet we don’t want this prophecy to fail
As precious time for our future slips by
Dreams to travel to the Martian realm
Is an ambition, scientists refuse to defy
Mars is another planet to call home
It is the God of war, a beacon of red
Where humankind must settle soon
Now is the time to look at a world ahead
