Thought before action is what some people do
While others try to leap over the morning dew
They then fall and slip on the glistening grass
As the early sun rises quickly and time has past
Then it is noon even though the grass is dry
But your sprained ankle is your excuse to hide
Then the sun sets rapidly escaping the earth
And you’re still swollen from a muscle that hurts
You never gave yourself time to heal
Instead you limped until the pain was real
Then twilight began so you crawled outside
Asking God if he could give you more time
Then the next day you walked without a crutch
Because you knew that your ankle wouldn’t give up
And time wouldn’t stop you, from doing what you love
