Fourth of July

The Fourth of July has come along

A reminder of what makes us strong

There are some who take it for granted

This right of privilege we have been handed

Because this nation was founded by leaders

Who wanted their citizens to be firm believers

That they could live their lives without hunger or war

And have the chance to take their dreams far

So as we watch the star-spangle banner sway

With the summer wind

We can’t help but to smile today

That this is where freedom begins

That the Fourth of July

Is not just another holiday

Instead it is a symbol of sacrifice

And it will never give up the fight

Because the United States of America

Is a country that is full of American pride
